Who are we?
And what are others saying
about us?
Our Heart Is to See People THRIVE.
We believe every person is created in the image of God, filled with God-given potential, and worthy of being invested in. We also believe that meaningful transformation happens when people are met with grace, encouraged in their faith, equipped with practical tools, and surrounded by relationships that help them grow.
Thrive was born out of a desire to help people move beyond simply surviving life's challenges and discover what it means to live with purpose, grow in Christ, and build healthy, sustainable lives.
Our heart is to equip churches, ministries, and organizations to do what they are called to do: invest in people, develop disciples, and walk alongside individuals as they grow.
Our Story
Thrive grew out of decades of hands-on ministry and community development through InnerMission, a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families in Northwest Indiana.
After years of walking alongside families facing difficult circumstances, we recognized something important: meeting immediate needs is essential, but lasting transformation requires something more. People need relationships, encouragement, mentorship, biblical truth, and practical tools to help them move forward.
That realization led to the development of Thrive—a six-month life development and discipleship program designed to help individuals grow spiritually, personally, and practically.
What began as a program serving families in our local community has grown into a resource that can equip churches, ministries, and organizations to invest in people wherever they serve.
We believe the principles we've learned through years of ministry can help others create meaningful opportunities for growth and transformation.
Our Philosophy
Discipleship Is a Relationship.
We believe discipleship is more than transferring knowledge. It's walking alongside people, building meaningful relationships, encouraging spiritual growth, and helping them apply what they are learning to everyday life.
Growth Involves the Whole Person.
Spiritual development and practical life skills go hand in hand. We want to help people grow in their relationship with Christ while developing healthy habits, stronger relationships, financial stewardship, emotional wellness, and personal leadership.
People Need to Be Equipped, Not Just Assisted.
We believe in moving beyond doing things for people and instead investing in them, encouraging personal responsibility, recognizing their strengths, and equipping them with the tools to move forward.
Every Person Has God-Given Potential.
We believe people are capable of growth and change. Our role is to create opportunities, provide encouragement, and walk alongside them as they discover their strengths, purpose, and potential.
What Makes Thrive Different?
Thrive brings together three important elements of meaningful development:
Biblical Foundation: Rooting personal growth in faith, biblical principles, and a growing relationship with Jesus.
Intentional Relationships: Encouraging mentorship, discipleship, accountability, and meaningful connection.
Practical Development: Providing real-world tools and skills that can be applied to finances, mental health, parenting, relationships, leadership, and everyday decisions.
Thrive is designed to be flexible. Whether used in one-on-one mentoring, small groups, or classroom settings, our curriculum gives leaders practical resources to help people take meaningful steps toward growth.
Our Invitation
We believe churches, nonprofits, ministries, and community organizations have an incredible opportunity to make a lasting difference—not simply by meeting immediate needs, but by investing in people and walking alongside them as they grow.
Whether you are a pastor, ministry leader, nonprofit director, mentor, or community leader, Thrive offers practical tools and resources to help you move beyond providing assistance and toward meaningful, developmental relationships.
Our hope is to equip organizations with a pathway to put their mission into action through discipleship, mentorship, biblical principles, and practical life development.
Let's move beyond simply helping people get by. Let's walk alongside them, equip them, encourage their growth, and help them discover all that God has created them to be.
Together, we can help people move from surviving to thriving.
“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)
